SENIOR REPAIRS ADMINISTRATOR

Foster Property Maintenance (FPM) delivers market leading property services to the affordable housing sector within many regions of the country. Our clients in the main comprise housing association landlords and local authorities.

We have a Response repairs and maintenance arm of our business that for our clients specifically provides a range of reactive repairs services, voids works services, plus a 24/ 7/ 365 out of hours’ emergency call-out package.

We are seeking an experienced individual to supervise our Customer Response Centre (CRC) in a ‘team leader’ capacity. This Response Centre is a small administrative team which carries out our repairs works orders administration, customer and client relations plus performance monitoring and management.

The Senior Repairs Administrator will be responsible for the day to day supervision of this team, and with it the administration process of dealing with the repairs works orders sent from clients, from initial receipt by us through to job completion and closing.

The successful candidate will need to

  • Work on their own initiative whilst also being a good team member with a high level of team working skills
  • Have a basic level of technical or other skills related to property maintenance
  • Have very good communication skills and a professional customer care approach, particularly in relation to phone call and email handling, both with client representatives, residents of clients and internal colleagues
  • Be trained to a basic level in the standard range of software packages, with quick and accurate computer skills
  • Be well-organised and have a professional approach to work
  • Have sound decision-making skills
  • Have an ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and to cope calmly, accurately and well with work-related pressures
  • Show a flexible and adaptable, can-do attitude
  • Have pride in their work and a keenness to achieve the highest performance
  • Show an aptitude for learning new skills

This is a new position in a new team structure, with all the exciting opportunities a new post creates.

  • Has skills in office administration
  • Has some technical knowledge and/ or repairs and/ or building maintenance skills
