Community fund investment
20 Dec 2011
As part of our on going commitment to the communities in which we work, we have, and continue to provide, various forms of assistance to worthy causes to benefit local people both now and on going into the future.
FPM pledged 5% of contract profit on our EPC Internals Contract, these proceeds are currently being distributed on various worthy causes put forward by community organisations. The round of bidding has now been completed and we aim to have contributed to six separate community schemes over the next few months.
FPM have created a new Community Fund that will provide grant making support to local charities and community groups in the Norwich and Kings Lynn areas. We see this as a way of providing some real benefit, especially when charities are being hit with funding cuts.
We have appointed the Norfolk Community Foundation to deliver a fund of £10,000 on behalf of FPM which will be launched in the next few weeks. Groups will be invited to apply for grants up to a maximum of £2,000 under the fund. We anticipate that the grants will be made early next year.
We aim to really make a difference in the communities we support, and hope the Fund will be well received with some excellent community work supported. If you would like to know more detail about the operation of the fund then please do not hesitate to contact Graham Tuttle, the Director of Norfolk Community Foundation, who will only too happy to assist.
Our strategy is to set up similar Funds in Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire in the next year or so all being well. If you have any suggestions about areas that require support then please feel free to email.
