Don't dump it...donate it!

Over recent weeks Foster Property Maintenance has formed a tie with a local Charity in the Fenland area - FACET (Fenland Area Community enterprise Trust) as part of our drive to sustainability in the communities in which we work.
 
A first step in the long list of things FPM are doing to help FACET was our ‘DON’T DUMP IT, DONATE IT’ Day which was held on Thursday 15 December 2011.  Over the past few weeks leaflets and notices have been sent to FPM staff and neighboring companies making them aware that we are holding a ‘DON’T DUMP IT, DONATE IT’ day and asking them if they can donate any goods they have at home to  be sold in the FACET Charity shop based in March.
 
Members of FPM staff kindly donated many items (toys, clothing, teddy’s, small furniture etc) which were delivered to the FACET Charity shop.    Helped by the staff and a student of FACET were put in storage ready to be put on the shop floor and sold!
 
The Manger of the shop was over the moon with the things that were brought and it was discussed by Natalie Newby (pictured above with a student from FACET) and Jane Clifton (shop manager, pictured below on left hand side) that after Christmas  there will be another delivery of things and hopefully raise lots of much needed funds.
