EPC & FPM Community Fund Grant Awards
12 Dec 2011
The EPC Residents Group, Fosters and EPC met last week to review the long list of Community Project Funding Bids received from members that actively used the EPC Property Improvements Contract for the period to April 2011.
In total 11 bids were received (with a total value of £56,700) and these were reviewed by the group, prioritised and whittled down to the best affordable projects which the group felt would have the greatest positive impact per pound spent.
Due the high standard of the proposals received; the group decided to award the minimum grant needed for each project to go ahead and be successful PLUS Fosters kindly agreed to stretch the budget from £12,750 to a total of £15,600, which was felt to be a very positive gesture!
The list of successful projects:
· Cotman – Green Garden Project
· Colne – Living Memories
· Suffolk – Field View
· Orwell – Brookwood Estate Football Pitch
· Colne – Foundry Court Well Being Centre
The successful bidders will now be contacted in order that project proposals can be finalised and the work can get under way.
Steve Turrell, Operations Manager for EPC, said:
"Many thanks to all who have had an input into this, and mostly to Fosters for proposing and supporting this initiative".
Steve Foster, Director at Foster Property Maintenance, said:
"The standard of proposals was incredibly impressive, we are proud to play a part in assisting communities in which we work the opportunity to move forward".
