Foster Property Maintenance Mark 100th Property Refurbishment Milestone
24 Feb 2011
Foster Property Maintenance recently completed its 100th property refurbishment as part of Freebridge Community Housing’s Fairstead Estate Decent Homes Programme. Foster’s are carrying out complete external and internal refurbishment works to numerous properties across the estate, including new Rendering, Wall Insulation, Electrical Rewires and new Kitchen and Bathroom upgrades

Speaking proudly, Mr & Mrs Piggott ‘could not believe the transformation to their home, it was like stepping into a brand new home and it took our breath away. It is out of this world the difference between what our home used to look like to now, the transformation is amazing’. Andrew Edmonds, Project Manager at Freebridge, said: ‘Reaching this milestone has meant that we have completed another step in improving our stock. The feedback from residents has been positive both in terms of the aesthetics of the property and the marked improvement to their warmth’. Foster’s pride themselves on employing local people across all its East Anglian operations and has been working in Partnership with Freebridge to improve the quality of its housing stock since 2006 to ensure they meet the Decent Homes standard set by the government that requires social housing to be warm and weatherproof with reasonably modern facilities.
